EMPOWERING YOUTH TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF GENERATIONAL POVERTY TO BECOME BOLD LEADERS AND ENTREPRENEURS
PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ALIGN WITH STANDARDS ESTABLISHED BY THE NATIONAL BUSINESS EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (NBEA)
THE FUTURE IS NOW
FCB’s mission is to empower lower socioeconomic Middle and High School aged youth to break the cycle of generational poverty by introducing Entrepreneurial & Leadership Readiness Education as a poverty reduction strategy. Our entrepreneurial education intervention program was designed to align with the national entrepreneurship and leadership standards established by the National Business Education Association (NBEA), a professional association devoted to the use of education to advance ethical standards, professional conduct, diversity and fairness in the field of business.
Our programs gives youth the opportunity to acquire essential entrepreneurship skills, knowledge, and a mindset that allows them to become bold leaders and entrepreneurs creating successful ventures of their own. With our guidance youth are allowed to cultivate their own skill sets by making decisions and learning from the outcomes. The FCB program is an ecosystem where youth learn through hands-on experience and guidance from facilitators, business leaders and established entrepreneurs. Youth are immersed in an array of entrepreneurship projects creating personal experiences that allow them to recognize potential opportunities in their neighborhoods and devise solutions; segment target markets and conduct competitive analysis for their products or services; determine startup costs and develop balance sheets as well as income statements; ultimately producing a business plan that allows them to pursue identified market openings bringing a positive influence on employment and economic growth to underserved communities.
